Payment terms

Last updated: 6 November 2026

These terms apply to payments made on https://baiteelayla.com to the benefit of the association BAITE ELAYLA (the "Association"), 3 rue Bernard Palissy, 93300 Aubervilliers — [email protected]. They are accepted by a checkbox before each payment.

1. Common provisions

Prices. The amounts (membership fee, hall-hire rates, classes) are displayed in euros on the Site before any payment. The amounts displayed are the final amounts to be paid.

Payment methods. Online payment is made by bank card, on the secure page of our provider Stripe. The Association never has access to your full card number. Offline, bank transfer and cheque are accepted on request from the board. Cash is not accepted.

Confirmation. Each payment gives rise to a confirmation e-mail summarising the purpose, the amount and the date. Supporting documents (membership-fee receipt, hire invoice, donation receipt) are available in your account area or on request.

Security and fraud. Stripe may refuse or delay a transaction presenting a fraud risk. In the event of an abusively disputed payment, the Association reserves the right to suspend the services concerned.

Refunds. Where a refund is due, it is made to the card used for the payment, via Stripe, within 14 days; the time it takes to appear on your account depends on your bank. For a payment made offline, the refund is made by bank transfer and recorded by the board.

2. Membership fee

  • The amount of the annual membership fee is the one displayed on the Site on the day of payment.
  • Membership is valid for 365 days from payment, subject to its approval by the board.
  • Reminders are sent by e-mail 30 days and 7 days before the due date, on the due date and 2 days after.
  • A grace period of 2 days follows the due date; beyond it, member-only features (directory, membership card, publications…) are suspended until renewal.
  • If the board refuses a membership application, the membership fee is refunded in full.
  • The membership fee represents the member's contribution to the association's project and not consideration for a commercial service. Once membership has been approved, it is non-refundable, including in the event of resignation or exclusion during the year, except for double payment, an incorrect amount or cases provided for by law.

3. Donations

Nature. A donation is an act of generosity, without consideration. It may be unrestricted (allocated to the operation and actions of the Association) or intended for a cause presented on the Site.

Irrevocability. A donation is final. Only a donation made in error (wrong amount, double payment, unauthorised payment) may be refunded, on request sent to [email protected] within 30 days of the payment. Any tax receipt issued for that donation is then cancelled.

Donations allocated to a cause. The sums collected for a cause are used for it. If the goal is exceeded, if the cause becomes moot or if the beneficiary withdraws, the sums concerned are allocated to a cause of the same nature or to the Association's solidarity actions, of which donors are informed on the cause's page.

Tax receipt. The Association issues a tax receipt (formulaire Cerfa n° 11580 for individuals) only where it meets the conditions laid down by articles 200 et 238 bis du Code général des impôts (organisation of general interest with disinterested management, whose activity is non-profit and does not benefit a restricted circle of persons). Where that is the case, this is stated on the donation page before payment. No tax receipt can be issued:

  • for a donation intended for a specifically named person;
  • for a payment with consideration (membership fee giving access to services, hall hire, class enrolment);
  • where the Association is not eligible for the scheme.

Failing that, no tax receipt is issued and the donation does not give entitlement to any tax reduction. Only the statement appearing on the donation page at the time of payment is authoritative.

4. Hall booking

Request and confirmation. The booking is made online by stating the date, the time slot and the purpose of the event. It is firm only after written confirmation by the Association (e-mail) and payment of the sums stated in that confirmation. An unconfirmed request does not bind the Association; any corresponding payment is refunded.

Conditions of use of the hall. The hirer undertakes to comply with the hall rules, communicated before any payment, in particular the maximum capacity, the hours, the safety and neighbourhood rules. The hirer is liable for damage caused during the hire and must be covered by civil-liability insurance.

Cancellation and postponement by the hirer. Any cancellation or postponement request is sent in writing to [email protected] or from your account area; the date of receipt is authoritative. The conditions for cancellation, postponement and, where applicable, deposit or security deposit are specified in the booking confirmation and the hall rules, communicated before any payment.

Cancellation by the Association. If the Association cannot make the hall available (unavailability, damage, administrative decision, force majeure), it informs the hirer without delay and refunds all of the sums paid, or offers another date which the hirer is free to refuse.

No right of withdrawal. In accordance with article L. 221-28, 12° du Code de la consommation, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services to be provided on a specific date or period. As the hire of the hall for an event on a fixed date falls within this exception, only the cancellation conditions above apply.

5. Classes

The rates, enrolment arrangements and cancellation conditions for classes are stated before any enrolment. If a class is cancelled by the Association, the sums paid for the sessions not provided are refunded in full.

6. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint should be sent to [email protected] or by post to the registered office. The Association replies within 30 days.

Consumer mediation. If you are a consumer and your prior written complaint has not been resolved, you may have free recourse to the consumer mediator to which the Association belongs (articles L. 612-1 et suivants du Code de la consommation). The contact details of the competent consumer mediator are provided on simple request to [email protected].
Mediation must be requested within one year of your written complaint. Recourse to mediation is optional.

7. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable solution, disputes are brought before the competent French courts, in compliance with the rules protecting consumers.
